IMPROVE Consortium Meets Face-to-Face in Budapest

Budapest, Hungary (29-30 October 2024) – The IMPROVE consortium gathered in Budapest for a productive two-day face-to-face meeting hosted by our Hungarian partner FORESEE. The consortium members reviewed the progress across work packages (WPs). The development of the training platform (T3.3) and training guidebook (T3.5) was a key focus, with WWU leading the discussion, as well as the AinoAid launches across the partner countries. Dedicated sessions were held to discuss the AinoAid promotion and dissemination strategy, the development of the Policy Handbook (WP4), and strategies for engaging stakeholders and liaising with the media. The consortium explored effective approaches to disseminate project findings to both academic and non-academic audiences.

In addition to the formal meeting, the consortium members took the opportunity to visit a shelter for victims of domestic violence on 28 October. This visit provided valuable insights into the challenges faced by survivors and the crucial role of intervention programs.

On 29 October, the group enjoyed a joint dinner at the Gólem Színház, a unique venue combining a Jewish theatre and restaurant. This social event fostered team building and strengthened relationships among the consortium members.

The IMPROVE consortium remains committed to advancing the field of domestic violence intervention through innovative research and collaborative efforts.
