Legal and care challenges for children and women victims of violence: The barnahus model, pre-constituted evidence, and protection for femicide victims

13 - 14 June 2024

Tarragona, Spain

Organised by the Rovira i Virgili University (URV).

The conference will have some sessions in English, and others in Spanish.

Recent legal advances and new models of care for victims provide us with tools to protect and prevent the re-victimization of children, youth, and women who have suffered or are suffering from any form of physical, psychological, or sexual violence, including the most extreme cases of femicide and/or vicarious violence.

The Conference is envisioned from an interdisciplinary perspective to address, at an academic and practical level, the legal and social dimensions of violence against children and women. It is aimed at academics and professionals in the legal and social intervention fields, as well as students interested in learning about the advancements and pending challenges in protecting rights, providing support, and aiding in the recovery of these victims both from a national and international perspective.

Submission deadline: 30 April 2024
