We invite you to join researchers, educators, and practitioners from around the world in Singapore at the 2024 meeting of the International Association for Conflict Management (IACM).
IACM was founded to encourage scholars and practitioners to disseminate research related to negotiation and conflict management in interpersonal, organizational, societal, and international settings. Past participants have come from the fields of communication, labor relations, law, organizational behavior, political science, psychology, sociology, and other related disciplines, and have included researchers, educators, practitioners, and Ph.D. students.
We welcome submissions that contribute new knowledge, understanding, and practice to negotiation and conflict management, spanning all research methods, related disciplines, and professional backgrounds. Submissions should cover new material, distinct from published works (including those that will appear in print before the conference), and ideally from presentations at other conferences. Submissions may be theoretical, empirical, or applied/practical in nature.
In particular, we encourage submissions that:
Reflect principles of interdisciplinary collaboration and engaged scholarship to advance knowledge, understanding, and the practice of negotiation and conflict management.
Highlight opportunities, questions, and considerations regarding researcher-practitioner collaboration on issues related to negotiation and conflict management.
Encourage innovative approaches and explore emerging frontiers in the study and practice of negotiation and conflict management.
Expand our understanding and skill in teaching principles of negotiation and conflict management.
Support the development and dissemination of new teaching materials and tools in the areas of negotiation and conflict management.
The deadline for submissions is January 19, 2024. Types of conference submissions include the following:
Full papers (30 pages maximum)
Extended abstracts (1000 words maximum)
Symposia (4-5 topically related presentations, 10 pages maximum)
Skill development workshops (includes pre-conference workshops; 5 pages maximum)
Debates, roundtables, or other novel sessions (5 pages maximum)
Paper and abstract submissions may be accepted for traditional paper sessions, data blitzes (rapid fire sessions), or posters. Only full paper submissions are eligible for conference paper awards.
